SECTION 2: Bond Development, Tendon Anchorage and Ultimate Loading

 

Test Procedure:

1. Concrete tie shall be arranged as shown in figure.
2. Attached two dial gauges with a sensitivity of 0.025 mm per division to the outer bottom pre-stressing wires and zero setting set before applied load.
3. Applied the increment load of not exceed 22 kN per minute until reach to 150 percent of load test in static loading test at positive bending moment at rail seat (1.5 times = 119.67 kN). The wire slippage shall be recorded.
4. Increase load until ultimate failure, recorded the maximum load.

 

Acceptance Criteria:

The requirement shall be met when the wire slippage shall not more than 0.025 mm. at the applied load. Held the load for 5 minutes.
